Here is the problem with Hyperian Sewer treatment Plant: What if Scenario: Terrorist attack on Hyperian Sewer Treatment by LAX. And prevention strategy which should be implimented. If terrorists attack it by truck and drive a truck bomb into the giant Chlorine Tanks, the on shore breeze of 15 knots would send Chorine gas into the atmosphere killing 100,000 people within hours and shutting down the airport. This attack would be easy for an employee of Hyperian. Once he or she made it through the gate, the terrorist would be home free to drive into the Chlorine tanks. The plant would be shut down immediately and everyone would evacuate with masks, but once the chlorine gas got out, it would be too late. This is only one of many such plants that are down wind from larger cities. Generally they are located near water at the lower end of cities using gravity from the slope to move the wastewater to the plant. Anywhere there is an offshore breeze where the treated water is sent to the ocean, there is a target. It should be recognized that terrorists understand the value of these plants, and understand how they work. They (the terrorists) do not have enough of them in their country, and know the value to our population. Our population or a domestic terrorist would never think of this because they take them for granted. And generally the smell of them keeps most people away. Background checks of every worker at any type three sewer treatment plant are necessary. Cement barricades need to be placed around storage tanks and/or foot wide ditches of concrete Treatment Plant authorities should volunteer the local watch patrol to be prepared to notice any abnormal behavior suggesting these types of activities. http://www.lancewinslow.org/ntw.shtml |
